LinkedIn searches, post engagement, Sales Navigator, target companies, your inbox, a spreadsheet or your team’s connections. Everything is de-duplicated, and every import runs inside your accounts’ safe limits.

Getting people in usually means a lot of cleanup.
Export a search, paste it into a sheet, remove the people you already have, then hope the scraper you used didn’t get your account flagged. The best leads, the people commenting on posts in your space, never make it into a list at all.
Five ways to find people on LinkedIn.
From the people engaging with a post to everyone with the right title at your target companies. Each source tells you what it spends and how fast it is before you start.
- Hours
Post engagement Highest intent
People who reacted to or commented on a post: they already care about the topic.
Uses daily search pages, no profile views Can repeat - Hours
Connections
A sender’s existing 1st-degree connections.
One page of 100 per hour, no invite or message allowance - Days
Search URL
Paste a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator people search.
Uses daily search pages Can repeat - Days
Sales Navigator lists
Pick a saved search or a lead list instead of pasting a link.
Uses daily search pages, needs a Sales Navigator seat Can repeat - Slowest
People in target companies
Start from a company list and find people by title.
One lookup plus up to three searches per company Can repeat
Already have the people? These don’t touch LinkedIn at all.
Conversations as leadsMinutes
Create leads from inbox conversations that have no lead yet.
CSV fileMinutes
Create leads from a spreadsheet, or update chosen columns of existing leads.
Start with people who already showed interest.
Paste a LinkedIn post and import everyone who reacted to it or commented on it. It works on your own posts, a client’s posts and a competitor’s.
- High intent: they stopped to engage with exactly the topic you sell into.
- Pick reactions, comments or both. LinkedIn doesn’t share who reposted, so those can’t be imported.
- No profile views used, only the sender’s daily search pages. Usually done in hours.
Upload a spreadsheet, or update just one column.
Upload a CSV of up to 50 MB and map its columns to lead fields, including your own custom fields. Columns are matched from their headers where possible.
- Checked before it imports: the first 200 rows show how many are new, how many already exist and how many have no LinkedIn or email and will be skipped.
- Create and update adds new people and only fills empty fields on existing leads, so nothing you have is overwritten.
- Update only never creates anyone. It changes just the columns you choose, the safe way to push job titles or a fit score back from Clay or a sheet.
Keep a campaign topped up on its own.
Set a search, post, Sales Navigator list or target-company import to repeat daily, weekly or monthly. Each run adds only people it hasn’t seen before.
- Pair it with an auto-enrol rule on the list, and new people go straight into the campaign, up to a daily cap you set.
- Every run is a normal import, under the same daily limits and working hours, so a schedule never pushes a sender harder.
- See every schedule in one table: when it last ran, when it runs next, and a clear warning if its sender has been removed.
Or hand Claude the list.
Attach a messy file and describe the campaign. Claude cleans it, checks it with a dry run, and asks before anyone is contacted.
- Leaves out people who replied recently, and tells you how many.
- Same checks as importing by hand: duplicates are matched the same way and every sender’s limits still apply.
- Nothing starts until you say yes.
Imports that don’t put your account at risk.
Every LinkedIn source runs from a connected account, inside its working hours and daily budgets. Nobody can switch that off.
One page at a time
Searches fetch one page every 20 to 90 minutes, inside the sender’s working hours, like a person would.
A search budget that grows
Daily search pages follow the sender’s warm-up level, from 5 a day on a new account to 80 at level 5.
Connections without the cost
Importing a sender’s 1st-degree connections reads 100 an hour and uses no invite or message allowance.
Sorted the moment they arrive.
The same options on every import, so people land where they belong.
Client
Say which client these leads belong to, so agency reports and portals stay separate.
Add to a list
Auto-enrol rule on this list: starts SaaS founders Q4, up to 50 a day
Drop everyone into a list, and let an auto-enrol rule on it start the campaign.
Tags
Tag everyone in the import, then filter, enrol or report on them later.
Enrich after import
Read each full profile in the background with profile views left over after the day’s campaigns. Leads in a campaign are enriched for free anyway.
Repeat
Run it again daily, weekly or monthly to pick up new people only.
Pause, resume or cancel
Track every job’s progress, new versus updated leads, and stop it any time. Leads already imported stay.
Every import is matched by LinkedIn identifier, then work email, then personal email. A lead is stored once per workspace.
Re-import the same search, upload an overlapping spreadsheet or pull in a post twice: existing leads keep their data and only empty fields are filled in. Rows with no LinkedIn identifier and no email can’t be matched, so they’re skipped, and the check before import tells you how many.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Sales Navigator to import leads?
No. Search URLs, post engagement, target companies, inbox conversations, CSV files and connections all work from a regular LinkedIn account. Only the Sales Navigator lists source needs a seat on that sender, and a seat gives better title matching when you search target companies.
Why does a big search take days?
Because it runs from a real LinkedIn account, under the same safety rules as everything else: one page every 20 to 90 minutes, inside the sender’s working hours and its daily search pages. Check search tells you the estimated duration before you start.
Why did my import stop before all the results?
LinkedIn only returns 1,000 results for a Classic search and 2,500 for Sales Navigator. The job shows a capped badge when it hits that. Split the search into smaller ones, by location or seniority for example, and import each.
Will importing the same people twice create duplicates?
No. Every import is matched by LinkedIn identifier, then work email, then personal email. Existing leads keep their data and only empty fields are filled in, so re-importing updates people instead of adding them again.
Can I import people who reposted a post?
No. LinkedIn only shares who reacted and who commented, so those are the two options. The sender also needs to be able to see the post.
Does importing start messaging people?
Not on its own. Importing adds leads to your workspace. Enrol them in a campaign, or add them to a list with an auto-enrol rule, and they start inside each sender’s daily limits.
