Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 22 September 2026
GrowthxAI Outreach sends connection requests, messages and emails from real people's LinkedIn accounts and mailboxes. That only works if every account is genuine and every person on the other end is treated with respect. This policy sets out what that means in practice. It applies to everyone who uses the product in your workspace, including your teammates, your clients and anything that acts on your behalf, such as the API or the Claude connector.
If you're unsure whether something is allowed, ask us at hello@growthxai.com before you do it.
1. Real people, real accounts
- No fake profiles. Every LinkedIn account you connect must belong to a real, identifiable person who is who the profile says they are.
- No purchased, rented or borrowed accounts. Don't connect accounts bought or rented from a marketplace, "aged" accounts, or accounts whose owner doesn't know they're being used.
- The owner's consent, every time. If you connect someone else's account (a client's or a colleague's), you must have their permission, and they should log in themselves through the hosted login link. Nobody should share a LinkedIn password with you or with us.
- Mailboxes you control. Only connect email addresses and domains that you or your client own and are allowed to send from.
2. No spam
- Contact people you have a genuine reason to believe will find your message relevant to their work.
- Don't send bulk messages that are unrelated to the recipient, misleading, deceptive about who you are, or designed to trick someone into replying.
- Don't use the product to send anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, fraudulent, or that spreads malware or phishing links.
- Don't impersonate another person, company or brand.
3. Don't try to get around the limits
Every sender has daily and weekly limits, a warm-up period and a health score. These exist to protect the account owner. You may lower them; you may not work around them.
- Don't split one person's activity across several accounts to exceed their limits.
- Don't use scripts, other automation tools or browser tricks alongside GrowthxAI Outreach on the same account to send more than the limits allow.
- Don't tamper with, probe or reverse-engineer the parts of the product that enforce limits.
- Don't change a sender's proxy country to somewhere the account owner isn't, or otherwise disguise where an account is being used from.
4. Respect the platforms you send through
You are responsible for following the terms of every service you connect, including LinkedIn's User Agreement and Professional Community Policies and the terms of your email provider (for example Google Workspace or Microsoft 365).GrowthxAI Outreach is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation. LinkedIn can restrict any account, automated or not, and we can't prevent that.
5. Opt-outs and unsubscribes
- When someone asks you to stop contacting them, in any words, on any channel, stop. Add them to your blacklist (do-not-contact list) so no sender in your workspace contacts them again.
- Where the law requires it for email, include a clear way to opt out and honour it promptly. Don't make opting out harder than replying.
- Don't re-import or re-enrol someone who has opted out, including under a different client or sequence.
6. Lawful basis for contacting people
You decide who to contact, so you are responsible for having a lawful basis to process their personal data and to send them messages. Depending on where you and they are, that may involve data protection law (such as the GDPR and the UK GDPR) and electronic marketing law (such as the ePrivacy rules, PECR, CAN-SPAM or CASL). In particular:
- Only upload lead lists you have the right to use.
- Keep the data you hold on people accurate and no larger than you need.
- Answer requests from people who want to know what data you hold on them, or want it deleted.
- Where you run outreach for a client, make sure you and your client have agreed who is responsible for what.
7. No scraping for resale
Profile data, contact details and lead lists you gather through GrowthxAI Outreach are for your own outreach (or your client's). Don't collect data in order to sell, rent or give it away as a list or database, and don't use the product to build a data product for third parties.
8. Keep access secure
- Give teammates and clients the lowest role that lets them do their job.
- Keep API keys secret, and revoke any key you think has leaked.
- Don't share your own login with other people. Invite them as members instead.
9. What happens if this policy is broken
We look into every report we receive and respond in proportion to what happened. Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- contact you and ask you to fix it;
- pause the senders, sequences or API keys involved;
- suspend your workspace while we look into it;
- close your account, in line with our Terms of Service.
Where we can, we'll tell you what we've seen and give you a chance to respond first. We won't do that where it would put other people at risk, or where the law doesn't allow it.
10. Reporting misuse
If you've received outreach sent through GrowthxAI Outreach that breaks this policy, email hello@growthxai.com with the message and the sender's name. We'll look into it. Security issues go to security@growthxai.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and the rules around it change. We'll change the date at the top when we do, and let workspace owners know about significant changes.
